Custom clear window clings are printed on see-through gloss vinyl that lets the glass show through around your design. They hold to the inside of a window by static cling, with no adhesive, so they go up clean, remove without residue, and can be repositioned and reused. Add your logo and text in full color, in almost any shape and size. They're part of our full range of custom window clings.
See-Through Clear Static Cling
Clear window clings use a gloss clear static cling material: a transparent vinyl that grips the glass with static rather than glue. Because the background is see-through, only your printed design shows, which makes clear clings ideal for storefront glass where you want customers to still see inside, and for car windows where a transparent background looks clean and unobtrusive. White ink is available on request as an underbase if you want opaque elements within a clear design.
Clear or White Window Clings?
Choose clear when you want the glass visible around your design. If you need a solid background that hides what's behind it and makes colors pop, see our white window clings instead. Both use the same residue-free static cling and full-color printing. Note that clear window clings are also different from clear stickers: clings use static and are reusable, while clear stickers use a permanent adhesive.
Full-Color Printing, Sizes, and Shapes
We print in high-resolution full color (CMYK) so logos, text, and colors come out sharp on the transparent material. Clear window clings are supplied in easy-peel sheet format (not on a roll), in sizes from 0.5 x 0.5 inches up to 8.81 x 8.64 inches, with optional radius corners. Choose from rectangle, square, circle, diamond, oval, or a custom contour-cut shape around your design. The material is non-yellowing, and there are no setup or design fees.
How to Apply Clear Window Clings
Clear window clings are applied to the inside of the glass and printed in reverse by default, so the design reads correctly from the outside (you can choose read-from-inside when designing).
- Clean the inside of the glass. Make sure the surface is clean and dust-free. Water works well; if you use a glass cleaner, let it dry completely first.
- Peel carefully. Lift the cling from the sheet, avoiding touching the static side.
- Apply one edge first. Stick down one edge, then run a squeegee (or a credit card wrapped in a paper towel) across the cling to push out air.
- Smooth out bubbles. If air is trapped, work it to the edge with the squeegee, or peel off and reapply from the first step.
Apply only to clean glass in moderate temperatures. Please make sure you are confident in the application before starting, as Custom Genie cannot be responsible for a poor or failed application.
Clear Window Cling FAQs
How are clear window clings supplied?
In easy-to-peel sheet format, on 9.25 x 10 inch sheets with a printable area of 8.81 x 8.64 inches. They are not supplied on a roll or individually.
Should I apply them to the inside or outside of the window?
Apply to the inside of the glass. When designing, choose "read from the outside" (most common) or "read from the inside."
What's the difference between clear window clings and clear stickers?
Clear window clings use static, so they leave no residue and can be repositioned and reused. Clear stickers use a permanent adhesive.
Can they be applied to curved windows?
They can go on lightly curved surfaces like some car windows, but they are not designed to be deformed in 3D.
What sizes and shapes are available?
From 0.5 x 0.5 inches up to 8.81 x 8.64 inches, with optional radius corners, in rectangle, square, circle, diamond, oval, or a custom contour-cut shape.
Are clear window clings reusable?
Yes. Because they hold by static rather than adhesive, they remove cleanly and can be repositioned and reused.
